Someday, I hope to see a Himalayan blue poppy (Meconopsis lingholm) in real life, but for now I guess #watercolor will suffice. The speckling of gold paint makes for a nice approximation of pollen.
#CrimsonSkyRose is a sister seedling of Red Eden in a stunning, bright #red vermilion to fire engine red color. She has a mild, apple #fragrance. Her blooms will average around 26-40 petals & grow in small clusters.
More of our indoor #orchids have bloomed.

My #VampireLily is getting ready to bloom. It smells like sweaty gym socks. It's surrounded by much better fragrant plants so we don't notice the stink much.
#Portulaca #Grandiflora is a new pretty addition to our gardens this year. It is quite lovely.

My meadowscaped front lawn in spring makes me so pleased. We have gone through some very ugly phases with it but knew it would take time. Worth it.
A rusted patch bumblebee coming in for some lupine goodness in my yard this week.
Some plants today. Our snake plant at home has been blooming. It's fragrant flowers are dripping with nectar- but since they are indoors, no hummingbirds or bees to slurp it up. Also the plant next to the snake plant is also taking off since I have been watering it so much.
At BrooklynGlass I went to get some neon tubes this morning and saw this neon tube double vase. I should really pitch a quick one day intro class just making lil vases like this out of tubing- so fun!

The non-vintagey edit of the image I uploaded earlier-- this one is sans grain and haze and is pretty much exactly as-shot. I love the super dramatic grainy version but this is the image I saw in my viewfinder and fell in love with. <3

Every time I think about posting a whinge about how discouraging it is sometimes to be a creative (especially for the wallet) I remember no one likes wallowy posts and that if they did, sales would be through the roof but my roof is currently intact so I’ll just go take a nap instead.
