Brian DavisYesterday I had two thoughts that have allowed me to progress pass an impasse I had in my thoughts on <a href="https://vmst.io/tags/gender" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#gender</a> expression. I identify as a man and have considered and detailed ideas about what <a href="https://vmst.io/tags/masculinity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#masculinity</a> means to me, both as an identity and aspirationally, as in, I aspire to be a better man. But at the same time these ideas of virtue have nothing really to do with biological sex, or even gender. There's no real reason a good woman (or other gender expression) couldn't aspire to the same values. They could as easily be "ways to be a good human." So I began to wonder if the idea of gender specific virtue holds any real value.1/
