@ascentale @bikenite A1: Sydney, Oz. today's three hour round trip was picking up a pile of second hand plastic drums to store food in (I buy wholesale rice a year at a time because it's half the price)

The drums are empty so it's under 100kg, they're just bulky (there's also one in the bin on the bike)

My mistake was not taking the battery powered infrastructure improvement apparatus, I got blocked a couple of times by anti-bicycle barriers on bike paths.

#Dgar has exclusively used BHL guitar picks on all #DgarMusic recordings. BHL is my good personal friend Brock H. Little who hand crafts these amazing plectrums. They are nice and thick, giving really good grip and control. I even have a photo of a couple of BHL picks on the sleeve art for my first release “Splinter In The Mind’s Eye”.

I did want to let everyone know that BHL is running a 20% off sale on all standard plectrum models and materials for a limited time, but I also wanted to ask what would be a good instance for such a maker to join where he could show off his creations?

Happy to pass on any questions to Brock.

@eniko first of all, this
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moka_pot
is what you want to make coffee, not the nespresso shit.

And after you've learn to use the moka pot, you can get a Mukka (that's a wordplay on mucca, Italian for cow, BTW) to make cappuccinos and caffellattes

(This is #notSponsored, and mostly intended as a joke. You can use any milk frother for the milk part. But do get a proper coffee machine, not the nespresso, kthksbye.)

Yes. Yes you do.

But this video does explain #Valheim without spoilers, and why I’ve been playing it pretty much anytime I have some free time for games.

It’s from an indie studio that had only 5 developers when the game launched into early access, and hit 5 million installs within a week. It’s made with Unity and is available for Windiz, Mac, and Linux. It just about runs on any potato PC too, not requiring a huge graphics card just to run it.

There’s a demo to try out, it’s only about $20, and a lot of fun to play co-op with family and friends.

@Valheim is even on Mastodon!

Huh. OnlineMetals offers "protoboxes" which I think are offcuts from their larger orders that they offer at a relatively low cost per pound. It's a good way for makers of small machine parts (like me!) to stock up on a variety of alloys. They also sell XenoWax at a discount which I find interesting. That's a machinable wax that CNC setup machinists use to test programs before cutting expensive metals. Crashing wax is better than crashing titanium!

@sil Generally, yes. I've owned pretty much every Logitech mouse they make (I have the MX Master 3s on my desk, which is just OK - feels gummy after a while). Just replaced my beloved Ergo M575 after it failed to survive a trip through the CT Scanner (don't ask). I've replaced it with the LIFT, which so far may be my favorite mouse I've ever used, and it's fairly reasonably priced (you can find it on sale for like 60 bucks). #NotSponsored
