Had to help a friend fix an #Microsoft #Office license issue.
Apparently the download was corrupt & hence MS thought it was a invalid copy. The only way to fix it was uninstall it, but Windows didn't recognize it as installed, even thought it was! Ended up downloading an offline copy, mounting it and installing with no internet connection & that worked.
Absolutely mindboggling how bad this all is. This is #monopoly #tech in action. Being forced to pay $$$ for shitty products that don't work.
I have just come from a #Council meeting not directly associated with my #Politics but facing similar #community #communication #Issues. On the '#Liberal #Left #Socialist ' wing we are fragmented, Many #narcisstic #Officers . I always argued for one #media #office to speak for all. 'We' had the £'s pre #StopBrexit & after to fund an office & the talent to staff it. Now? No one single voice speaking #Truth to #Power @NRM @PeterCorr

En inderdaad, wij verkopen "hout" (hosting), maar we verkopen ook complete oplossingen "meubels".
We leveren bijvoorbeeld #nextcloud met nextcloud #office en #e-mail (volledig verzorgd) en #peertube als service en #mastodon als service en wat dacht je van #jitsi en #bigbluebutton ook als service.
Het is zelfs zo dat Bert daar zelf gebruik van maakt, de mastodon.nl server is qua eigennaarschap van de stichting ActivityPub, maar draait met en door ProcoliX.

🇺 Bei den meisten Online-Meetings treffe ich auf #Zoom, #Teams oder #Webex. Seitdem ich letztes Jahr von #Microsoft365 zu @mailbox_org wechselte nutze ich entweder #Opentalk von #mailbox_org oder #Jitsi. Jetzt schaue ich mir auch mal @senfcall an.
Mailbox.org nutze ich primär für #Mail #Kalender und #Kontakte. Für #Cloud und #Office setze ich auf #Nextcloud und #OnlyOffice auf meinem #NAS und auf #LibreOffice auf meinem Notebook.
Jetzt, besonders mit #UnplugTrump waren das gute Entscheidungen.
The thing about notification systems is that they represent "being on call" during the period they are online, creating an increasing anxiety of missing or not being ready for something important that overshadows any work you are supposed to be getting done.
For this reason I have turned off almost all notifications on my phone, except those from friends, family, and important contacts.
I even find that I get more done if I am able to shut off work notifications.

So, Excel (ugh...I don't want to use it, trust me), finally, in the year 2025, has a dark mode...
Now @microsoft needs to pay me for the years of burnt retinas and the crow's feet I'm getting (as a result of squinting while using Excel, nothing to do with me aging) 
I don't usually need to use office software, but I'll be returning to uni next week and I'll need something compatible with Microsoft Office's formats (writing and powerpoint). Blergh.

Hi #blind community. I am searching for two programs for #Windows.
1. A accessible client to work with multiple calendars via CalDAV
2. A program which can work as a to-do-list.
I do not want to use #Outlook for this since I am in the process of getting mostly rid of #Microsoft #Office.
