Planted 20 odd spuds, all from a supermarket bag I'd forgotten I had couple months ago. All sprouted rootlets. Now the waiting game.

Grapes have started green shoots, most of the cuttings have taken. Weirdly, broadbeans are flowering but they are hardly 5 in tall . .. strawberries also fruiting though some have perished .

Worked on the pond edges, lined the sides halfway down using three cloth pots, the sort used to move treelings about, cut lengthwise, the idea is to cover the plastic and maybe a frog will choose the place for froglets. Also filled the gaps between stones with stone scalping kindly donated by the plotter next door.

The other recipe I tried was roasted Serrano pepper, minced and added to 1 cup cream cheese with 1/2 tbsp garlic salt. Excellent with chips. I didn’t die from the heat of the Serrano peppers so I’m excited to expand my cooking options. 2/2

Yes, they were Serrano & a lot of jalapeño peppers! I made 2 recipes so far and haven’t died yet from the heat.

Cilantro Serrano Cream Sauce
This is a great sauce for chicken tacos and fish tacos. It's similar to serrano crema. It's also great as a dip!

* ½ bunch cilantro, coarsely chopped
* 3 serrano chile peppers, seeded and chopped
* 3 cloves garlic
1 cup mayonnaise
* 1 cup heavy cream
* salt and pepper to taste

Anyone welcome to help ID these peppers! Got about 4 pounds of the small green peppers and 1 1/2 pounds the larger ones. 2 photos here. I’m not a fan of jalapeño, habaneros or most other peppers. Only started liking the bell peppers about 15 years ago. Irish-German folks in my family generally didn’t use many vegetable peppers. Yes, I’m afraid to actually taste these. IF I know what they are and how to use them I’ll give it a try for my sons. #Peppers

Apparently I am going to learn how to cook with more Mexican squash than I’ve ever had before, cukes, & yellow and fingerling zucchini- 10 pounds! 5 eggplants, all ripe. 6 bags of Tiny Drops organic “medley” tomatoes. There is about 5 pounds of Serrano peppers! You can tell I went to the rescued food delivery of Borderlands today in Phoenix! Yay, sure love fresh veggies.
