The Tiller<p>Can I check whether I get something wrong with using <a href="https://mastodon.ie/tags/pixelfed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pixelfed</span></a> ? <br>Just the other day I signed up, on pixelfed.fr.</p><p>I find the experience (using Safari) rather disappointing. The photos load very slowly in any feed, and after 20 or so stop loading altogether. <br>If I click on one photo to enlarge and then go back to the feed, I’m at its beginning again. This is cumbersome.</p><p>The pixelfed app (iOS) is very buggy and close to unusable. </p><p>Am I missing something? I’d love to enjoy pixelfed!</p>

I know I have been here before, but it is remarkable how there is nothing on this error page to even hint what to do next. There is a link to copy an encrypted message, and I /know/ I've done this before and you run some horizon or something, but /sadly/ web search is no help. There must be a URL somewhere that explains.</p><p>I love when foss says "contact your admin" and you /are/ the admin and you haven't the slightest clue. 🤣</p>

Cognissart<p>I've just spent a pleasant half hour looking for new artists to follow on fedi. I searched hashtags watercolour, oilpainting and mixedmedia. It brought up some interesting accounts but it was VERY obvious that most <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/pixelfed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>pixelfed</span></a> accounts don't add <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/alttext" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>alttext</span></a> I find this really disappointing as I don't boost posts with no alt text.
