The Philippine archipelago mapped using 10^n points with each point being 1000 x 2^(6-n) meters in diameter.

> Use the "Random points inside polygons" algorithm in QGIS to generate layers with 10^n points
> Style accordingly
> Add the 6 layers into a single Print Layout
My first entry to #30DayMapChallenge #Points and it's a two for one. Same data on both but different background images from 1976 and 2019.

Process:
- Generate several layers of random points
- Sample the land cover using the points
- Style points based on land cover class
- Use data-defined overrides to randomize the shape of markers
- Use blending modes

The basic chaos game uses random vertex selection, perhaps constrained (e.g."don't pick the same vertex twice in a row").
I experimented w. integer sequences of various sorts, e.g. the Fibonacci, which you take mod the #vertices. If you just use the first N numbers of this sequence repeated, and N < #points, interestingly, you only get N distinct points plotted!
