Got train tickets to go to the Stand for Trans Rights demo in London tomorrow. Early start - train leaves at 0745 - but it's not something I feel I can just let pass.

I'm not a particular believer in "thin end of the wedge" thinking, but it seems in this case it is just going to embolden the bigots if people don't speak out, and then things will get worse, by increments, until we are in a full-on fascist dictatorship.

The Nazis started picking on minorities like #Queer and #Transgender people because nobody would speak up for them. This seems like a step in that direction.

Going to this protest is not much, but I hope it counts for something.

super random question but does anyone know if Billie razors are any good?? I've only ever used those cheap disposable ones(but they get used like every day for a month before they're thrown away). Honestly I'm tired of having to do ten passes to shave a small area, not even getting anywhere close to having a close shave, and having to deal with my skin being furious and everything hurting afterwards.

I've heard Billie razors are good, but honestly I know nothing about razors and which ones are good. I have really sensitive skin that hates when I shave, but I can't stand the feeling of it not being shaven. I'm broke as fuck so something around or less than $15 would be great. I'm not a fan of subscriptions so I planned on just getting a Billie one from Walmart and getting the extra blades when I need them.

I like that Billie isn't a giant company and is women owned, and they don't push into the stupid beauty standards and don't pressure you to shave if that's not your thing. But if there's a better or more affordable option that works well, I'd probably consider that instead.

Pride is deeply needed in rural Wales, where being queer can be so isolating. And since it's only small, you get a lot of bang for your buck - 16% of the £750 goal has been raised already. :)

Last year was our first Pride (Balchder in Welsh), and thanks to signal boosts on Mastodon and Tumblr it was fully funded within 24 hours, it was EPIC and the organisers were so chuffed that they COULD NOT EVEN.

Disability Rights UK (who do fantastic disability rights handbooks) have come out in solidarity with trans folk after yesterday's decision with a much better and stronger statement than Stonewall managed (they "share the deep concern")
