The Norwegian National Women's Council (our
#ICW) in Håkonshallen in
#Bergen in 1932.
#Håkonshallen is a very old building and had not yet had its roof blown off in the explosion of munitions ship "Vorboode".
Anyway, the women in it at this time were an important force in achieving women's voting rights in the period from 1901 to 1913. Since 1640, women had been considered minors at all time, under guardianship of their father until marriage when the husband took over. Several
#suffragette organisations in Norway fought for their rights, many of which were founded Gina Krog, like the Norwegian National Women's Council.
