super random question but does anyone know if Billie razors are any good?? I've only ever used those cheap disposable ones(but they get used like every day for a month before they're thrown away). Honestly I'm tired of having to do ten passes to shave a small area, not even getting anywhere close to having a close shave, and having to deal with my skin being furious and everything hurting afterwards.

I've heard Billie razors are good, but honestly I know nothing about razors and which ones are good. I have really sensitive skin that hates when I shave, but I can't stand the feeling of it not being shaven. I'm broke as fuck so something around or less than $15 would be great. I'm not a fan of subscriptions so I planned on just getting a Billie one from Walmart and getting the extra blades when I need them.

I like that Billie isn't a giant company and is women owned, and they don't push into the stupid beauty standards and don't pressure you to shave if that's not your thing. But if there's a better or more affordable option that works well, I'd probably consider that instead.

thanks! :QueerCat_Trans:

Before the one year mark I was in the habit of laying all my selfies out so I could watch the change.

I stopped doing this around the one year point, but a week or so I was having a really bad dysphoria day and was trying to make myself feel better, so I updated it.

This is my entire journey.

First row: 4 years before, 3 years before (and around the time my denial stopped), 2 years before, and 1 year before. Fifth photo is day 1 and monthly from there.

The image shows a suspended whale model in a museum corridor, accented by blue duotones. It aims to indicate the ocean's essence, supporting marine life awareness. The blend of architecture and color fosters a serene, reflective atmosphere.

TransActual do not endorse specific healthcare providers but we want you to know about:
Gender Plus’ Reduced Fee Pathway Pilot. The Pilot will initially support four individuals (two under 18, two over 18) who demonstrate financial need.
Closing date for applications: 29th April.
(UK specific)

They intend to roll out a full reduced fee pathway in the future, thanks to a very generous charitable donation.

My Mom just picked up my new high-school diploma. 😊

It sadly says “Neuausstellung für das Original-Abiturzeugnis vom 31. Mai 2011” (≈that it is a reprint) at the top, but other than that, this really means that the only remaining documents that I have to replace for my
#legalTransition are my university degrees (bachelor and master of computer science). Other than that I think I’m actually done with everything that I really want to bother with! 😊

Today is my second HRTversary. Two years of Hormone Replacement Therapy. 🎉🥳💃🥰

While I'm very grateful for it, I can't say I'm delighted with the results. Yet. 😉

I'm also very aware that access to HRT is in jeopardy for myself, many others and probably unobtainable now for some. This crime is far more alarming than me thinking my breasts are too small. 😠

But we will all continue our #transition. Going back in not an option. And fuck anyone who tries to erase us! 🏳️‍⚧️✊

Casual reminder to talk to normal people about DIY-HRT.

The fact that it has become the de-facto standard for transgender healthcare around the world is a scandal and most people will see it that way, once they get a grasp of what is going on. Keep in mind that most cis people have no clue about anything related to trans people and that ignorance is
very much not the same as malice.

And by telling them about DIY-HRT, I actually mean the full story: Online-pharmacies, homebrewers, bathtub-estrogen and how massively they differ in price. (A collegue of mine went from “I would never mix my own medication” to “I would totally mix my own medication” upon me mentioning that I was spending ≈100€ per month on pharmaceutical grade medication at the time). Explain how mixing works and why we are so confident in the quality that homebrewers produce (independent tests!). Mention that gel is primarily hand-sanitizer, so that even if they were to work in unhygenic matters, the result would still be estrogen-infused hand-sanitizer!

Talk about how stupidly low the regret rates are and that most effects reverse on their own if you really came to regret them. Be open, direct and keep refering to it as the de-facto standard of treatment. Make it clear why it is necessary, safe and widespread.

People who are somewhat open-minded can be convinced! And they will afterwards know how awful the hellcare systems around the world treat us and might mention it to others or argue in our favor. Keep in mind that we (trans people) are like 1% of the population, we
need allies! And our allies need to know what we need and what our situation is!

The one caveat I will add: Talking to jornos and right-wingers is a different story, as many of them are malicious actors and will frame things in harmful ways, if given the chance!
