I'm a <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/curious" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#curious</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/community" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#community</a>-builder, I find that I take more joy in connecting people than in directly participating (I organized <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/bsidesden" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#BSidesDEN</a> for a couple years and loved it). I work in <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/infosec" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#infosec</a>, doing <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/research" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#research</a>, over my career I've explored deep CPU and chipset design flaws, <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/hypervisor" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#hypervisor</a> security, and now looking at <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/deception" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#deception</a> and more for Thinkst Canary. I live in a small mountain town in SW <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/colorado" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Colorado</a> with my wife, toddler, and rescue <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/dog" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#dog</a>. In the past I was a PM at <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/darpa" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#DARPA</a>, managed a couple <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/security" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#security</a> teams at <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/aws" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#AWS</a>, and a researcher for a small firm in upstate NY. My best day of "work" was getting to <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/fly" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#fly</a> F-16s around the canyons in AZ. Outside of work, I enjoy <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/mtb" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#MTB</a>, riding my e-bike, and <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/trailrunning" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#trailrunning</a>, having entered a number of <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/ultramarathons" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#ultramarathons</a>, and even completing some of them. I am a volunteer <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/firefighter" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#firefighter</a> and <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/emt" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#EMT</a>, on the board of a local <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/arts" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#arts</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/nonprofit" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#nonprofit</a> and do most of the <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/cooking" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#cooking</a> at home. I led <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/canoe" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#canoe</a> trips in northern <a class="hashtag" href="https://mountaincommunity.co/tag/canada" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Canada</a> for almost a decade as well.

Now I have 5 <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Ultramarathons" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Ultramarathons</a> booked for next year. 🤦‍♂️I’ve been paid for taking <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/photos" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#photos</a>, but that’s on hold while I get settled into my new home, <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Dundee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Dundee</a>.
