Including people who would (otherwise?) consider themselves "progressive".1. It reminds them that theirs is just a point of view, not some magically "neutral" perspective. 2. It reminds them that they DON'T actually "know everything".3. It reminds them that their viewpoint was shaped by a whole goddamned system of bullshit.4. It reminds them that we are NOT having some weird "soul-to-soul" moment, and that I am a Black woman looking at them and placing them in a whole rolodex of bullshit, based on what they're ACTUALLY SAYING.5.
