I went from "I need to restart my blog using a static site generator" to "I need to DIY a mimeograph machine" before I finished deciding on colors for the blog.
I was also amazed to see the library holding a #zine making class! And a local creative making space that has art and maker space for kids (that I love to support) sent me a zine in the mail! With QR code for a video on folding!
I'm not the only one who loves them.
And I think they really do speak to people on lots of levels.

If anyone has any one page mini zines about the resistance, Christofascism, Riot Grrrls or hexing our enemies, I'll print them and distribute next Saturday at the 50501 Protest in Evansville, Indiana.
All files will stay original, I just want to have a ton to pass out.
Send them my way. I'll post pics of your zine at our resistance protest!
Sometimes, it just feels good to make something by hand. My newest video shows you how to turn a single sheet of paper into your own #zine or mini-comic. Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xB1lZxV30MI
(or on peertube here https://spectra.video/w/di1hgrK6xxQ4q7dRxxvQXn)
Be loose with it, have fun, and don't worry about perfection. I'd love to see what #zines you make!
I'm going to hang these fliers made by @ovaettr all over town by myself. If you want to support me, you can tip me so I can buy more ink and printer paper.

Thanks for reading and supporting independent artists and Free-Culture!
I like this zine. It's the kind of contagious simplicity that just makes me smile and want to make something as well.
A pay what you like zine:
You can snag a DRM-free download of @AlexandraGallant’s zine 'Iconic' on @itch.io — it has a bunch of old Livejournal icons made 20 years ago, plus short essays and thoughts on design, trends and pop culture from the time.
Wrote a page for this and made myself cry a whole lot

Our month long jam starts in just two weeks! Its beginner friendly and an #anythingJam so I bet there's something cool you could do!

Focused on the #OpenSource graphics from the defunct game, Glitch, and it runs from April 4 to May 4!
#Clay is so common, I can't believe I took no notice of it for most of my life. As soon as I learned it was abundant in the landscape, I just started seeing it everywhere. "Earthen Rainbow: Working with #WildClay Terra Sigillata at Midrange" is a #zine I wrote describing this experience of connecting with the land and how it's inspired my studio practice. It's also a guide for other clay artists, with technical tips and recipes.
