OK, I did buy the AKAI because the pads are supposed to be pretty good, but finger-drumming was still a major "maybe someday" thing - until just this weekend, when I realized that this is some pretty dang good exercise for those tightness / rythm issues I have...

After just a few hours of practice I already feel like it's better, and even easier, to lay down a (simple!) beat this way than pecking out the individual drums one at a time & editing the MIDI
