Since I bought my Air M3 15" I've come to love the screen, more than anything else. Everything looks bad on my 6-8 years old Dell 24" (2560x1440) monitor. I wan't something as nice and HiDPI as my laptop, but not-Apple.

I see there's an LG 32U990A coming, which looks fantastic, size is right, and is 6K, but no price yet. There's the Dell U3224KBA, but it's more expensive than I am willing to pay, and ugly as sin (the actually bad kind).

What else? 30"-32", 6K.

I have a Samsung S90PC 5K. Don't get that:
- smart monitor with buggy software that needs a power cycle ~weekly to work (literally need to unplug)
- no daisy chaining other displays
- no dual-input
- few thunderbolt ports

It's a nice display but feels cheap (almost everything is gray plastic) When I got it anything above 4k was Apple branded, save for this one, and this was the largest one at 27".

Check if your selected one supports daisy-chaining/dual input if you need either, and avoid a smart display if at all possible.

You're likely going to need to pay amounts close to the Dell if you want to go above 4k. The Apple Studio display is actually fairly reasonably priced (I regret not going with that over the Samsung).

@michael That samsung monitor does sound quite underwhelming.

I have a very nice USB-C dock that can do up to 6K, and with a lot of ports, 2.5Gig ethernet etc. It's really nice, and I do 't need a monitor with more than DisplayPort.
