It was as I stood photographing Whitefish Point Lighthouse on a cold winter day in 2018, that I decided that I needed to start publishing my work for others to see. What good was it to have a beautiful image like this and not have anyone else see it? And, I also got to thinking….even though a picture might be worth a thousand words, that doesn't tell the story behind the image. My photo blog is more like a story, not an instructional article. Then I discovered Mastodon. It's a community like no other social media platform. It's so much more to me than just a place to share my art. During some pretty low points in my life in the past year, I could always count on some interesting, funny, beautiful conversations in my home feed. Things that would take my mind off what was really going on in my world. And for that, I thank you all for the part you've played.
