One of the most emotionally loaded moment of our lives. Low singing the Tikvah (the hope) national Israeli anthem alongside a mixed Jewish and non Jewish Bedouin, Arab crowd and more, cop cars saying "Baruch Hashem, we shall know better days" as the cars carrying Shiri, Kfir and Ariel are passing us by. Our Israeli hearts are broken but we must live in spite of terror. Cry for them, then do your best to live your best life for them also. That's the best we can do. Rest in peace, pure souls, Shiri, Ariel and Kfir Bibas. 🎗️🧡🎗️

Today is an orange day. Today, all of us, Israel and the collective Jewish diaspora, and any who support us and can feel our pain, bleed in orange. In heartbreak for Ariel and Kfir, and in insecure but deep hope for Shiri, I made these orange necklaces and bracelets to help process this grief over the deaths of the Bibas boys. I can feel deep pain but a fraction of the pain of their family, living close by to me and mine, a few miles away from the border with our brutal enemy. Today I wear orange and make orange jewelry, hoping to sell those soon and send 30 percent of the proceeds to the Bibas family directly or through the Hostages Families Organization. 🎗️🧡

A bit about my relative Omer Neutra, written by my cousin Ohad. Sharing here on Mastodon, where dehumanization of all Israelis is common. Omer was in a defense position, not attack. And he died protecting us all, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Bedouin, Druze and many more. Please keep your opinions whatever they may be about the conflict separate as I grieve the death of a member of my family and suffer from severe PTSD. I'm only sharing this to tell about the passing of an Israeli American hostage whom I am related to. A sweet and kind soul, Omer Neutra RIP.

This post was written on Oct 12th 2023. We only found out today that Omer is no longer living, his body is still held by #Hamas

My cousin, Omer Nautra, is being held captive by Hamas in Gaza. Omer was born and raised in New York, and despite the distance and all the years that we met once or twice a year has always been one of my favorite people in the world, and I'm sure everyone who knows him will tell you the same. Omer is one of the charismatic, friendly and fun people there is. Funny, fiercely competitive, and passionate about what he does in a contagious way. In every little thing he does he always wants to be the best, in every sport (and he's not a sucker at any sport) he's always the one you want on your side. When he came to Israel for prep we were happy that we got a new "little brother", when he decided to stay and enlist we laughed at him that he's a sucker, but he said that if he is going to stay in Israel he wants to stay as Israeli, and not as an American, and to serve is part of the deal. That's how it is with people that do everything 100%. And this is how he found himself on the Gaza border on Saturday morning, doing his part in the Israeli deal, when Hamas terrorists kidnapped him. I hope that soon Omer will be back with the rest of the POWs, and we can play football, or ping pong, or argue if the Giants are any worse than the Jets this year, whatever it is I'm sure he won't let me win. #BringOmerHome Rate this translation

That's it. My family member, Omer Neutra, American Israeli, his body had been found in Gaza. We now know he died on the 7th of October and they kidnapped his body. His parents had been fighting all this time and us with them. I'm distraught. This is our reality. Please remember his beautiful smile. And bring his body home to rest in Israel. And all other living, and dead hostages.

Heute, zum 7. Oktober, jährt sich das abscheuliche Massaker der Hamas in Israel. Über 1.200 Menschen wurden ermordet, tausende Menschen verwundet und über 200 Menschen in den Gaza-Streifen entführt.

Viele der Geiseln sind nicht mehr am Leben, andere befinden sich immer noch in der Gewalt der Hamas - #bringthemhome!

Gleichzeitig schockiert uns das unendliche Leid der palästinensischen Zivilbevölkerung, das durch den anhaltenden Krieg Israels gegen die Hamas verursacht wird. Wir beklagen zehntausende Tote, darunter viele Frauen und Kinder. Zeichen der Hoffnung gibt es derzeit nur wenige.

Dennoch möchten wir solche mit Euch teilen: Attac unterstützt seit längerem die #ProHumanCampaign, ein globales Netzwerk von Organisationen und Aktivist*innen, das sich auch in Zeiten des Kriegs gegen jedwede Entmenschlichung von Bewohner*innen Israels und Palästina einsetzt.

The abusive power of corporations hits again:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL OF MY CUSTOMERS ON ETSY:
First of all, I want to reassure you that all purchases made will have their jewellery arrive as normal.
Secondly - Etsy just closed my account. I have no idea why, they didn't even email me, call me or anything at all! All of my customers, hundreds of customers are happy customers who have left amazing reviews and only 5 star ones. Etsy literally made a TON off my works in fees from me bringing all of my customers to my Etsy shop and not customers finding my shop in their search.

I am heartbroken and shocked by this behaviour on Etsy but I am only hopeful that my customers can understand this situation so it doesn't destroy my life's work.
I work at least 12 hours a day from the moment I open my eyes until I fall asleep doing my best to make a living from my art.

This will not be destroying my life's dream, I actually have my own website which I had been building for the past few months and will release as my own brand and shop, and I also sell in other ways (PayPal, transfers etc).

I HIGHLY SUSPECT THIS IS AN ANTISEMITIC ATTACK - Because if it was only a technical issue of some sort then I believe they would have emailed me before just suddenly closing my account - I had 0 warnings! And they did do this to other Israeli artists before, I recall the story of an Israeli artist who had her listing close down which was a painting of the Bibas family, and withing my landscapes series I also made non political Israeli nature encapsulating jewelry, as well ones inspired by the nature of Norway, Bermuda and the American East Coast.
My handmade jewelry business is my life's dream and I couldn't be more thankful for the support I've been receiving from my customers. It has tripled in its success in the past few months and I couldn't be happier, but now all I feel is heavy stress.
Customers who are still waiting on your works, be sure they are all on the way, I had literally just sent out 10 packages today which were purchased in the past few days.

Gestern wurde diese Fahne zur Erinnerung an Hersh Goldberg-Polin am Weserstadion gehisst. Der Werderfan wurde nach 331 Tagen Gefangenschaft von der Hamas ermordet. Ergreifend sind die Worte seiner Mutter Rachel:
