Just published my last #DecemberAdventure post of the year - a bit late, but the work was mostly done in December, and it took me a while to get this one put together: terracrypt.net/posts/gobs-of-m

It's a prototype of an infra provisioning system built with #spritely #goblins. I plan on continuing work on this myself, but if you're interested in building stuff with Goblins maybe this could give you some inspiration :)

I've not been great at documenting my #decemberadventure but finally finished my last post blog.solarcene.community/posts

I've spent the last few days in between family and work adding #Bluetooth (#ble) to my #Psion #Series5 by tapping into internal serial lines and then using a #hm-11 module. While it's not perfect it's really nice to be able to use the psion wirelessly. Next task is to increase the connection speed and fix the issue with a proxy server.

My #DecemberAdventure started off a bit half-hearted and ended up fizzling totally.

Intended to do a Rust UI system but I got to a point where I'd tried out some of the things I wanted to try out, but didn't quite get where I wanted with that.

That said, I did learn a bunch of things about Rust and feel a bit more fluent with it than when I started.

Right now I'm thinking about where I want to go with what I learned.

Þree weeks into #DecemberAdventure, þe timing of it all has been outstanding. I had a daunting pile of þings I've been meaning to fix, delve into or document. And in just a few days, I've been able to get þrough most of it, learning countless new þings along þe way!

It's been great to follow along wiþ everyone's daily logs, alþough, þis year, many are working on stuff which just fly way above my head.

My website now supports HTTPS! I'm handling passwords in forms, so I wanted to get this done before I had any testers try to actually use the site. Once I figured out how it actually works, the process was really easy. I'm probably also doing other poor security practices, but one step at a time.

Day 19 of the #DecemberAdventure, in which I started my day by playing squash! 10/10, do recommend.

I also got the sword swinging, little black square adventure game to a shareable state! Go forth and play it! Let me know if it crashes...I don't think it likes WebKit. Not mobile friendly. Needs a keyboard.

Day 17 of the #DecemberAdventure was an early one! I woke up first thing before anyone else in the family and started to add enemies to the little game.

...and then this evening I cleaned my desk. It isn't like the cozy, colorful space I wish it was, but it is clean and that is a start. I've included a blury photo by ways of proof.

Haven't uploaded an entry for today yet, but here's the quick update on my #DecemberAdventure days 9 - 16:

I've been working on small quality of life improvements in my Konilo Forth system. This included adding a limited undo facility in the block editor, interactive prompts in the direct memory explorer/editor, and adding a "man <topic>" word for bringing up individual documentation pages.

I've also done a bit of work on an inventory tool we use at work & setup a Termux + Konilo system on an eink device.

#DecemberAdventure 17: figured out why my bookmarklet wasn't working, now I've got a neat little thing for screenshotting a HTML canvas - handy for p5 sketches.

alsoooo sent a pitch for my creative coding workshop to the Arts People With The Money. Exciting! I’d been procrastinating this but at least I've been honest about it.

(this thread has kind of become a mini journal to help myself feel better about not coding as much as I hoped I would - juggling lots of things)
