The first Canadian geese goslings spotted today. 7 goslings, look to be a couple of days old.
She sat on them without food for 30 days, one egg fell out, and rolled down the hill, and she couldn't put it back. There's only the two of them, and her mate has never been seen. They are the youngest hatchlings in the harbour. #Geese #Goslings #MyBackyard #Ocean
#GoodMorning! Perhaps I should have led with that?
It's raining, at times heavy. That's not changing the outside work, just helping me choose a suitable hat.
My work clothes are still wet.
Look what I can do... flap my wing & stand on one leg
I went to the reservoir yesterday to look for the gosling creche again, and instead I found these goose-olescents? Goose-agers? Gosteens?
Kids grow up so fast.
#morningwalk on this #silentSunday brought colour and maybe a noisy #lazerbird… #cardinal #sunrise #ottawa #goslings
I should probably say #GoodMorning ?
I'm much later than usual, still recovering from a hard 48 hour work period.
Going to play my heardles and finish my replies. I'm around.
In the meanwhile , if you've been following my #Goose story, this is not the mama that is still laying on eggs.
There's 7 #Goslings, usually they have 4-6 each year. Odd numbers I've never seen here in #MyBackYard, the #Nature trail runs along the coastline, remember that? #Birds #Geese

What a wonderful walk. Went to a lake in my city I have never been too (Tongwell Lake, Milton Keynes). Saw so many baby birds, but of all the photos I took, this is my fave by a country mile. I hope you like it.
