The inspiration for these maps came from the numerous world maps that highlight the amount and breadth of geolocated #Wikidata items as seen in this #WikimediaCommons category: commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cat

One of these maps showing the data as of October 2024 is attached. As you can see, Europe is very bright and the Philippines is kinda dark, so I wanted to create maps for the country showing where the items are concentrated. As expected, #Manila is the bright spot.

Singer Olivia Rodrigo is an advocate for reproductive rights. For her U.S. tour dates, she partnered with the National Network of Abortion Funds and in February, she launched Fund 4 Good, a global initiative for reproductive freedom. Her latest move: All net ticket sales from her show in Manila were donated to Jhpiego, a charity that provides access to services like reproductive health care and HIV/AIDS education in the Philippines and beyond. Rodrigo is part Filipina and said she had visited the Jhpiego organization on her visit. “It was the most special show and the most meaningful trip. To say I’m grateful doesn’t even cut it! Mahal kita," she wrote on Instagram.
