Several of my niche interests have collided in Moonring, Fluttermind (Dene Carter)'s neon Ultima V inspired CRPG with a fixed overworld map but procgen dungeons, and its OST, a dungeon synth album that you can buy on cassette tape if you like.

For anyone looking for a new RPG game to play, look on Steam for Moonring.

It's a fully fleshed out RPG with all kinds of polish for those of us who don't mind old school graphics. If you're familiar with Ultima, it's similar in play style.

The dev who released it worked on the Fable series as well as other older RPGs.

The best part?

It's completely free and the dev has promised free updates as well!

The reviews are saying it's great, and I plan to play soon myself! If you try it out, I hope you enjoy!!

#Moonring is checking all the boxes for me. I was a little too young to really get into the early #Ultima games, but always loved the aesthetic and this is clearly created with care and love.

#moonring should absolutely be getting more attention. It's gorgeous, it's roguelike-ish, and it's full of *really* thoughtful design and UX touches that modernize the experience while preserving the retro vibe.
