What every #despot needs is an engine to deal with their enemies, be it through #criminal #law or defenestration.

For either to work you basically need to have the entire #judiciary under your thumb and be able to define rights as you go.

If #rights are not guaranteed, #RuleOfLaw is not an obstacle. This means that having variable rights instead of #InalianableRights is the same as having no rights.

So the rules currently are;
- If you're English, get out of the US.

And today Trump confided to a dictator that he intends to send citizens to a foreign prison.

Now that we know that Trump assumes he can ignore due process, and the courts, and send people to a foreign concentration camp, individual rights are no longer assured in the US.

A 7 yr US resident with visa went to Australia for 3 days for his dead sister's memorial. On return, he was detained for >30 hrs with no phone. Officials called him "retarded", canceled his visa, & deported him with a 5 yr ban from the US. The only explanation:

He was grieving his sister’s death, separated from his girlfriend, was given a space blanket, meals of “what tasted like dogfood”…
