#StardewValley modded

How about an "Invasive Plant" mod for #stardewvalley? Plant a banana tree in Pelican town? Uh oh. They are taking over!

Bring your cat to Ginger Island? Seems cute but now all the birds are gone! Leo falls silent again. But you can fix it by crafting a cat tree and keeping the cat inside.

This game has too few bugs.

... maybe I should take a break for this game... or the news. Or both.

#StardewValleyJournal
Day 27: So, I was pretty anxious going into this day. It's been a while since I played so I was stressed about wasting too much time getting my bearings again.

Fortunately, I had my journal to refresh me and help direct today's activities. I started off by harvesting my parsnips and dropping those in the sell-ma-bob-box, watered the rest of my plants and then I then pet kitty, watered kitty, and checked my tapped trees. Nothing yet.

I got a notice when I woke up that my copper axe was ready, so I set off to Clint's place to pick that up. I arrived a little early, so to kill the time I rummaged through his trash. I found... (dramatic pause)... trash.

Went in, got my axe, and headed off to the mines. I want that iron. Took the elevator down to floor 25 and set off slaying monsters and nabbing ore things. Found a Forest Sword, so that was a nice little upgrade. Also, several floors just straight up had ladders leading down before I even swung a pickaxe or my sword, so I managed to go down 10 whole floors in one day.

The area I'm in right now is super dark and there's shadow monsters... very creepy... very I like :)

Still no iron, but my Stardew Valley addict child has informed me that I won't find iron until floor 40. So... I guess I'm getting close.

Came home, dropped stuff in a chest, and checked the weather for tomorrow. Looks like there'll be a light breeze and some pollen. Meh.

I leveled up my combat to level 3, and my foraging to level 4... which gave me the tapper recipe... which confuses me... because I've already tapped trees. I guess I'll need to review my journal to figure out where I got those.

Honestly, my payday felt kinda weak for the parsnips. I feel like I need to plant a whole lot more next season.

Tomorrow I will get to floor 40.

What would it have been like if you played #stardewvalley in the 1990s? No wiki, no "let's play" videos, no tips, no hints.

But, this vast game obviously full of secrets and much more sophisticated than any games of the time. (The combat, for example, in stardew valley isn't all that, but by 90s standards it would have been described as "action packed" and "intense")

Would the 90s experience of stardew be better or worse?

Are there cozier #StardewValley-like #games that do not stress the player as much?

I always bounce off S. V. in the first few in-game days because the whole game seems to be a terrifying race against time.
Optimize your farm output before winter comes! Don't buy the wrong crop or waste all your progress! Don't talk to people or you'll run out of daytime to care for your farm!

I always felt like Stardew Valley was the opposite of a cozy relaxing game for me. It was pure anxiety.

Stardew Valley but it's the South Bronx 1960s, you run a community garden & Jojamart is Robert Moses with the Cross Bronx Expressway.

The mines? Subway tunnels with a secret passage to North Brother Island.

Build friendship with the local teens by helping them to find a productive use for their love of graffiti-- But, don't offend the sweet church ladies: you'll need *their* help as well to stop the expressway.

Find artifacts of NYC history!
Pirer is now Pedro at the bodega.
