I bought this cheap non branded #i15 mini #phone online to use on my bike. It claimed to have Android 14. But in checking for updates I see that it's actually Android 8. Not a big deal for a cheap phone, but then... If in the About view it shows 14, this isn't a solid OS. It's been tampered? The icons were wrong too.

If I don't use bank and email apps on it, what's the worst that can happen?

Ideas for a profoundly terrible retro #fakeOS I want to make:

Mouse cursor that points down and to the right
Windows are all different shapes. There are circle windows, and triangle windows
Most apps require you to scroll in inconsistent directions
Instead of a proper Dock, minimized windows just move to random edges on the screen.
No unified visual toolkit whatsoever
Filesystem has the worst traits of Unix, MacOS, and Windows
Instead of right-clicking, you click both mouse buttons at once, and can then only use the scroll wheel and spacebar for navigation
Bumping any corner of the screen even slightly results in aggressive window management features
Notifications are ephemeral, but clicking on them does nothing, and there's no system tray.
Search looks up antonyms in a dictionary and presents you with the opposite of whatever you want.
Banner ads and pop-ups everywhere!
