Has anyone lost a somewhat tame pūkeko? Its likes are undoing shoelaces & biting my husband.

Pukekos like standing on top of things. I think I can relate!

Love the colour on this Pukeko. The purple bar on the wing matching the chest, and the red crest and beak. You can even see the flash of white around the tail feathers.

It was quite happy posing while I took photos, spending some time rooting around under the water with its beak, and then standing up to dry off & stretch out.
