These icy sections of #trail are what remained of the #winter in this mountain that hiked earlier this week. The #ice appeared once I got above a certain elevation but was only present below the tree line. Didn’t need microspikes as I could “rock hop” through the sections of ice. #FootpathFriday #mountains #hiking

It's blue skies with enough scattered clouds to keep the reflections at bay. Geirangerfjord is a UNESCO WH Site & one of the most spectacular fjords in Norway. #WaterWednesday #WaterfallWednesday

A ferry sails through the calm blue-green waters of Geirangerfjord. The channel is flanked by steep, (treed) green cliffs, punctuated by waterfalls. There are two waterfalls along the right bank. On this day we enjoyed blue skies with enough scattered clouds to keep the reflections from the water at bay. Geirangerfjord is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most spectacular fjords in Norway. Having gone into four fjords, I would agree

Sky fire over the local beach called for a bit of cheeky 'long' exposure, though not sure that 1/4s counts as long. This was hand-held thanks to IBIS and lens stabilisation.

Sun rise over Seven Mile Beach. The waves gently roll onto the shore, reflecting the fiery hues of the sky. The composition leads the eye from the foreground sand, blurred by the slow shutter speed, to the horizon where the sun is just beginning to peek through the clouds. It took me more than 4 years to capture a scene I could only dream of. A magnificent Condor soars above the peaks of Argentina's Mount Fitz Roy, as they are spot lit in beautiful morning light.
