Not the prettiest solution, but I put a second, slightly lower table by the kitchen table and it's contained the kittens from hopping up on the kitchen table...50% of the time so far.

They like to be "tall" and at your level so I figured it'd work. They still want my food though.

This is Soot and her favorite toy, I bought 4 more since it's already beat up. She yells if she loses it under furniture, brings it with her to your bed when she sleeps, and throws/drops it on me to tell me to throw it.
