My little sister was born in 1975 when I was three years old. When Mom was pregnant with my sister, all sorts of Jehovah's Witnesses kept asking me if I was excited she would be born in paradise. After all, we were all told Armageddon would happen in 1975.

I don't remember ever wanting to have kids. I've been childfree by choice all my life. I can't help but wonder if it's because I always knew my kids would never be born into paradise. #ExJW #ChildFree #Armageddon

In what could be his most over-the-top reaction, #Trump claims #Harris #VP pick #TimWalz—an uncontroversial, low-profile, middle-of-the-road #Democrat—will "unleash hell on earth" if he and Harris succeed in November. It's kinda like claiming #MrRogers would usher in #Armageddon, or #BobRoss is one of the four horsemen of the #apocalypse. This #insanity is proof that the #TrumpCampaign is in full-blown #panic.

@Unknowable THANK YOU. I haven’t quite finished it yet but when j have i will post it again - as many people as possible should watch it! What I particularly appreciate is that i knew bits and pieces (about #Christofascists for example), but this makes the whole phenomenon of evangelical zionism so much clearer. I hadn’t heard of Christians United for Israel (CUNI), nor of systematic evangelical conversions in the military. And wasn’t so aware of centrality of #Armageddon in all this. Scary.

I was three years old when I learned the end of the world was happening soon. In late 1974, Mom was pregnant with my sister, and other Jehovah’s Witnesses kept asking me if I was excited that my little brother/sister would be born in Paradise. You see, Armageddon was supposed to happen in 1975. My parents are in their 70s now and still believe Paradise is gonna happen any time now. #exJW #armageddon

@hannu_ikonen I've developed relationships with local farmers in this remote part of the UK. I wanted firewood, they have trees and a lot of dry stone walls, which I can repair.

So far, I've had a lot of firewood which is what I was after. But also fillet steak and eggs. If everything goes 't*ts up' at least I'll eat. As long as I can work. #armageddon

I think for the country to operate in anything approaching a functional, democratic and equitable way, it requires the #Armageddon of the Tory party.

I’m also so long in the tooth that I can recognise a #Tory rallying cry when I hear one. The threat of Tory Armageddon is the distress signal that Osborne knows will get any reluctant Tory voters to come out of the woodwork for the next election.

It’s also laying the ground for a Tory defeat, but one they’ll claim is at least not Armageddon.
