J'ai profité du soleil aujourd'hui pour aller (re)voir le #château de Wasenbourg. Pas une nouveauté, mais je ne me souvenais plus l'avoir vu ensoleillé (spoiler alert : j'ai probablement juste oublié) et je n'avais pas encore repéré les escaliers du coin.
Et si vous avez l'oeil, vous verrez peut-être un des spots qui a inspiré une illustration à @aemarielle.

Pas de #château aujourd'hui, mais pas loin. Un petit tour par là source du château du Haut-Barr, puis un peu plus loin la tour d'observation du Brotsch. Un trajet qui grimpe, doucement mais sûrement, et si j'aime bien les panoramas ensoleillés, j'avoue que ceux par temps pluvieux ont un autre charme.

Par contre, qu'est ce que j'ai ramassé comme déchets le long des chemins... Les randonneurs sont des porcs.

This is no accident because the castle featured in the popular animated version that was produced in 1991 took a few visual cues from the Château itself. Sure enough there is also a remake of the movie and The Hollywood Reporter published a little article on it. Visitors to the Château will observe manicured French gardens as well as a dense forest of trees in the area. And, of course, the architecture will simply take your breath away. As a fun bonus, this year marked the 500th anniversary of the Château. Can you imagine buildings this old? They go into some detail about how the castle in this newest version of Beauty and the Beast was created, in part, because some of the crew visited the Château for research purposes. Château Miranda was located in the province of Namur, #Belgium. Building work started in 1866 and culminated with the clock tower construction in 1907. It was home to the wealthy Liedekerke-De Beaufort family until World War II. It was used as an orphanage and children’s holiday camp from between the 1950s and 1970s.
