This is a very special piece. In one of my yarn surprise boxes, there was this crazy luxurious yarn:
40% Wool - Merino
25% Camelid - Llama
20% Silk
15% Cellulose - Linen / Flax

I was almost scared to use it and searched the longest time for a fitting project. I eventually decided on the Shawl of the Moirae and I think it's such a special piece.

Good Moo Everyone! 🌞 I'm back up with the parrots today and have just finished a lovely cuddle session with Ziggy, who is now alternating between eating breakfast and coming up to the front of her cage to tell me off for some reason - maybe the fare is not to her liking today, being quite vegetable- heavy. Zigs tells you off by making a noise like someone having an argument with themselves. It's sort of a garbled shout without words and very amusing coming from a wee bird as she shouts with such gusto 😂 The fight to stop Toby trying to get behind the telly at night continues. I've bought some recycled cotton yarn and I'm going to crochet a net to go over the back that will hopefully keep him out. Cheaper than a new TV unit anyway 😊

Parrot Kitchen this morning, then I'll try and finish the current crochet order so I can get back to the competition toy.

Et voilà ! Ce Paddington au crochet est enfin terminé après 9h30 de travail^^ Plus qu'à le mettre de côté le temps que je puisse l'offrir, vu que je l'ai fait trèèèèèès longtemps en avance 😅

This crochet Paddington is finally finished after 9h30 of work^^ All I have to do is put it aside while I can give it away, since I made it so long in advance.

Doing a variety of crafts is helping me right now, mentally.
I think counting down my stash (and counting up handspun skeins) is helping me to work towards a goal of continuing to use my stash.
Numbers and comparisons are fun sometimes. But at the moment, not so much. Maybe I'll show stats in the future?

Watching other folks process and spin their fiber helps right now too.

I've been tracking how much yarn and (crochet) thread I use in my fiber arts notebook.

(Yes, I bookbound my own notebook but it doesn't look pretty yet so no pics. 😅)

Since 2022? I never calculated how much I used up per year. I don't have time. But seeing myself actually using up my acrylics and sweater quantities, while actually making progress towards spinning up these fleeces is nice.

Idk if I should actually calculate the numbers like an actual "stash down".
