#SenatorCoryBooker has just passed the 24 hour mark -- he is only 18 min away from replacing Strom Thurmond in the history books.
He does this as #Republicans once again attempt to weaken the right to vote for #Americans with whom they disagree.

If you're from Virginia please try to find a primary challenger for this f**king clown.
I have zero respect for Mark Warner. He should resign in disgrace immediately.
Imagine being a U.S. Senator and using your enormous power to tweet scary shit at the public.
Today I called my senators and congressperson to say:
- We're not at war with Yemen, yet Hegseth bombed a civilian apartment complex, potentially killing dozens of innocent families in hopes of taking out one person that our administration doesn't like. I'm not fluent in international law, but that sounds like a blatant crime against humanity to me. Investigate and get everyone involved out.

Anyone who opposes impeachment is supporting Nazi control of our nation. It's that simple.
Very few people on earth have the power to remove the fascist dictator currently destroying our nation. They are Senators and Congresspeople.
Ignoring them. Failing to put maximum pressure on them to do the right thing and save our country is simply wrong. On every level.
In case you aren’t aware, 20 years of snark has not accomplished anything but profit millionaires and billionaires. The people who went to Tesla Takeover actually #dosomething

Probably some of what you didn't buy was stuff you didn't need.

What we're seeing is the critical phase of American collapse. The government is literally disintegrating before our eyes.
Are Americans really just going to passively watch their nation die?

What a great tool! Suggests scripts and everything.
Let's all remember what Kamala said: #DoSomething
Oregonians, please contact your reps and ask them to support expanded coverage of SNAP (food stamps) in Oregon. See link to article in previous post for details.
Here's a link with Oregon house and senate districts along with names - helpful if you know your district and don't want to type in your address:
https://gov.oregonlive.com/legislators/
And this link does a search if you enter an address:

Thanks!
Hey Oregonians
Please contact your Oregon senator and representative (not US level, state level) to ask them to support this bill.
Don't know who they are? See link in reply!
"New bill aims to support Oregon immigrants excluded from federal food benefits"
“No one, no matter their background, their zip code, or their circumstances, should ever have to go to bed hungry"

I'll be muting or filtering keywords related to politics, especially political outrage. I understand the outrage, and probably agree in most cases. But I have so little energy that I need to channel it carefully!
So I'm sure I'll miss a lot of current events on here but it helps me to only read/boost posts that suggest action (if/when possible) rather than just get angry about the situation.
I'm on other some platforms that suggest political actions (eg, contact congress)
One good thing about living with a chronic illness for 30+ years (especially an illness like ME/CFS, stigmatized and belittled by the general public and even some researchers) is that I've had a lot of practice fighting against despair and hopelessness.
So many reasons to feel despair, but I keep trying to do what little I can (very little, I'm mostly homebound) to change things for the better.
My impact may be small but it's better than doing nothing!
