I should go through my list of Remote Jobs and tag the Canadian companies. Not terribly happy working for American companies right now for some reason, it is a mystery.

So, RIFs are coming to MITRE. I'll probably make it through, but it still might be time to find a new adventure. If you or someone you know could use a technically deep mid-career security guy with experience in enterprise IT, regulated industries, OSS and Linux, ICAM (including PKI and FIDO), human factors, and more, I'd like to know more. Relocation to modern democracies is fine. Relocation to states that hate my family is not. #fedihired #fedihireme
Just found out my client contract is unexpectedly ending at the end of this month, and that puts me at risk of a layoff at my consulting firm after that.
So I'm trying to get ahead of things and find a new team to utilize my almost 10 years of experience in Web and software engineering.
**About me:** I have professional experience with TypeScript, Vue, Nodejs, Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby/Rails and more. Plus I enjoy exploring a language or framework I've not used before, and I have proven I can ramp up my comprehension quickly.
I am based in the US Central Timezone (or UTC -5) and am looking for remote roles that work well with that.
I have worked up and down the stack and am open to a variety of position focuses.
**About my new team:** They value competency and critical thinking over specific stack experience, prioritizing open collaboration and knowledge sharing.
They take standards and best practices seriously, not reaching for the quickest solution for its own sake.
(ideally) They seek to help solve problems that impact major issues of our time.
**About you:** You have connections to folks I should talk to, or you *are* someone I should talk to.
You know of or have seen roles that might be worth looking into.
You can boost this to try to connect it with folks who might fit one of the first two points
I'm grateful for your input. Thanks y'all.
Hmm, so: current job is throwing some off vibes, and it might be time to jump ship.
What's out there in Melbourne, Australia or remote for a senior (25 years!) Python developer/team lead with a bunch of database, agile and system admin experience?
I doubt this meme will help my employment efforts, but I felt compelled to make it.
I'm looking to put my seventeen years of computer networking expertise to work! If you know of any relevant opportunities or just want to catch up, please let me know.
Engineering experience with a broad variety of network types, from hyper-scale cloud providers to small businesses and enterprises
Open to in-person/hybrid roles in the Seattle metro area, or to remote roles in the US

I’m looking for a dev/tester role in Melbourne, . I have 3 years of firmware engineering and 1 year of software verification experience. I also have a degree in computer engineering if that’s relevant.
I’ll require a work visa and possibly relocation assistance.
Hey, FediFriends! As some of y'all know, my team was recently laid off and I'm having to dive back into the job market after almost 8 years at 1Password. I have a really diverse background, including leadership and IC roles in both QA and Customer Support. I also have experience as a lawyer so I would be a particular asset at a legal tech company. If you or anyone you know is hiring in these spaces, I'd love to hear about it! Boosts welcome and appreciated. #fedihired
I was laid off on Monday. Going to miss that team fiercely and I wish them all the best!
Anyone looking for a remote infra software eng/ #devops who likes working on platforms? I've most recently worked with #kubernetes, #terraform, #golang, and #puppet , in a #hybrid environment between #onprem and #cloud #infrastructure , spanning 4 continents. I've built out and maintained clusters throughout their lifecycles, architected and built out tooling and automation, and integrated with service-owning teams, all to ship reliable and secure products to market.
Suche Arbeit als Softwareentwickler.

Leaders always say, "Don't let perfect be the enemy of good enough."
Could somebody tell HR and hiring managers? I realize it's a buyer's market for tech right now, but they're out there looking for that unicorn
that has all the desired expertise, at new-grad salaries.
Still on the look out for work, contract or full time. Must be remote unless you have offices in Spain.
Over 20 years of experience doing: #UX/UI, design (web, product, service), front-end (#CSS, #HTML, #JS), #PHP (#kirby, #craftcms) and more recently #React, #NextJS.
My last project was NextJS with React - I did most of the things listed above. A design engineer or front-end designer role would be right up my street.
Would be nice if you do work that gives good belly feels.
Cover letters are the worst, by the way. I never know if anyone actually reads them (personal referrals are so much more effective).
People are telling me to use GenAI for these, but I sort of hate that for many reasons. Especially if "everyone" is going to use GenAI to "read/summarize" them… what's the point of burning all that energy, just take a look at the resumé/CV instead?
At least doing that won't make up anything or miss the point.
Does this #fedihired thing work?
