Can't beat 684 pages, and until now haven't bothered to download the #manual for #ShotCut https://www.shotcut.org/ as I found it fairly intuitive. It only has 211 pages, but the #software has suited my needs under both Windows and Linux over the last eight years or so. (It has fallen over on when running Linux on my Chromebook however, but as that only has a 10Gb allocated for all my Linux apps, it's not entirely surprising.)
Wish I could find a manual for this thing. Or service instructions or anything.
Not much out there. It has hypoid gear oil in it, which I determined by sniffing and rubbing (thick fluid with sulfur smell) and there is what is probably a fill level bolt, but it's all guesswork.
There's a few Japanese stickers but they're mostly safety warnings, telling you to not stick your arm into the rotating blades, yo.
You Can Download Instructions for Over 6,800 Lego Sets For Free at the Internet Archive via My Modern Met [Shared]
Nothing beats the excitement of opening a brand new LEGO set and unloading those shiny bricks. Sometimes, that happy commotion leads to misplacing a key part of the building process—the instructions. If that's happened to you, then you may want to check out the Internet Archive. They have a database of over 6,800 LEGO set instructions for models from many different eras and types.
This thing is quite good at pulling trees. 3m extension and 1.5 tons or 1.5m extension and 3 tons when used with the turning block.
Another reasonable quality tool for a reasonable price from #Yato.
Piped the Japanese tractor manual through OCR translation so I know how to do the maintenance.
Happy to share, in case someone has a TU-180/200/220/240
Iseki has funny little cartoon drawings in their tractor manual.
It is always a pleasure to read manuals. So did I. I read more about the Behringer S32 stagebox. And in the german translation I found this gem (see picture). New from the manual for me: I can connect a food blender to my stagebox via AES50 port. #manual #audio #translation
#MedicalJournals, on your #website, please specify what #style #manual you follow (e.g., AMA, APA, CSE) so that #authors — and #MedicalEditors — can decrease your #workload when you're prepping accepted #manuscripts for #publication. #Consistency helps your #readers. Thank you. #AmEditing

Digital Research’s Programmer’s Utilities Guide for CP/M as a cleanly typeset, searchable, and hyperlinked PDF.

This is the 4th and (for now) final part of my modern recreations of CP/M manuals in InDesign. I need a break now.
The CP/M 3 Plus System Guide as a cleanly typeset, searchable, and hyperlinked PDF.
This is part 3 of my quest to recreate the original Digital Research CP/M 3 manuals in InDesign.

You can all port CP/M 3 (aka CP/M Plus) to your 8080/8085/Z80-based machines now.
When our 25 years old #toaster died, we managed to buy a new one, with the idea of keeping it as long as possible.
All of the products offered by the retailer, including the cheaper ones at 20 €, were stuffed with useless #electronics. Except ONE model, fully #manual and robust.
We have chosen that one.
It was at… 200 € !!!
We've added a new section to the #pandoc #manual, where we list the available options for the creation of #accessible #PDFs.
In brief: Use #ConTeXt, #WeasyPrint, Prince XML, #LibreOffice, or MS Word (hashtags mark FOSS).

Hello to all,
here is an #introduction
I am a french artist practicing traditionnal #photography for years now. I dug my way through this world using mainly #analogphotography but I enjoy some other and #old #alternative processes.
Through all these forms, it is, I will confess, the quest for #manual #creation that enlight me the most.
Here is a little #selfportrait I did a while ago. I hope it will help us to "break the ice" as we say in France.
This has been bugging me for a while: My paper version of the CP/M 3 manuals is starting to fall apart. And the OCRed versions on the web are full of OCR mistakes. So I finally bit the bullet and recreated the whole thing in InDesign.
I think it came out quite nicely: https://maciaszek.net/26768/cp-m-users-manual-recreation/
