They support Nazis. Not up for discussion or debate.

Someone messaged me this, and I did not believe them. I ended up making a post to a reply and found out pretty quickly that despite the development being in France, they like Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and the CEO of Brave Browser.

The big difference with Open Mandriva Linux is you do not need to use the terminal to enable non-free firmware, drivers, or media codecs.

You simply need to open the app called, "Software Repository Selector" and check the boxes for the repositories you wish to enable. Once done, you can open either the store app or dnf dragon, for example, and install whatever you need.

It is point and click, easy.

From a simple user point of view, if you have used Fedora, you will be familiar with Open Mandriva Linux.

Both use RPM packages and Dnf package manager. You can even download and install 3rd party RPM packages, for example, I installed iVpn directly from their website.

Their "Cooker" build is comparable to Fedora's "rawhide". Their "Rome" build is comparable "Fedora Release". Lastly, "Rock" is comparable to centOS.

#OpenMandriva Association President sent an e-mail to Lunduke.

Lunduke being the only source makes it untrustworthy, but they seem to double down on the forum and the 'WokeOS' shell mentioned below, is real and served from lindev.ch.

The e-mail (probably not in order or in full):

Bero: Welcome. Nobody here (or at least nobody I’m aware of) hates you or “your side”. Many of us have issues with those trying to force everyone to one side, or with excessive virtue signaling. And we’re pro-Free Speech – if someone wants to say there’s only 2 genders, that’s fine (and probably the majority opinion), if someone wants to say there’s 1000, that’s fine too. It only becomes a problem when one side starts accusing the other of being bigots/nazis/whatever. People are absolutely free to disagree and even make fun of the “other side”. It’s funny how a lot of those who make “Diversity” one of their main key words don’t realize that diversity of opinion is part of the diversity they really should be pushing for.
