Question for my fellow thru-hikers: what do you bring for entertainment on your thru-hike? I am normally an avid reader but I’m not sure how much I’ll actually read considering I’ll likely be very tired each night. I am bringing a notebook to journal the trip so I’m wary about adding a Kindle to my pack too. Not that it will be very heavy but it’s a bit awkward and kinda fragile so do I really want to add that worry? We do have a 2 day break but I could probably survive without reading.
Alternatively I can load my phone up with music and podcasts and bring my AirPods if I want some entertainment in the evening.
