"I've Got a Feeling" is a song by the English rock band the Beatles from their 1970 album #LetItBe. It was recorded on 30 January 1969 during #theBeatlesRooftopConcert. It is a combination of two unfinished songs: #PaulMcCartney's "I've Got a Feeling" and #JohnLennon's "Everybody Had a Hard Year". The song features #BillyPreston on #electricPiano. A studio take of the song, recorded about a week earlier, was released on the #Anthology3 compilation in 1996.

"Carry That Weight" is a song by the English rock band #theBeatles from their 1969 album #AbbeyRoad. Written by #PaulMcCartney and credited to #LennonMcCartney, it is the seventh and penultimate song in the album's climactic #sidetwoMedley. It features unison vocals in the chorus from all four Beatles, a rarity in their songs. It is preceded by "#GoldenSlumbers" and segues into "#TheEnd". The middle #bridge—featuring brass instruments, electric guitar.

I just watched Sir Paul play Golden Slumbers/The End on SNL (on Youtube) and I have tears in my eyes. As badly as his voice has aged, he still sings better than I ever could. I love him for what he has given us. On SNL, he played both keys and lead guitar. The man is a musical genius and he has touched my life and the life of my kids again and again through his music. Grieving his loss before he has actually died is probably a sin (I'm no longer Catholic-- maybe one of you can look it up for me?), but God damn, I'm glad he has been in my life. #Beatles #PaulMcCartney

Today in Labor History January 30, 1972: Bloody Sunday in Northern Ireland occurred when British soldiers gunned down 14 Roman Catholic civil-rights marchers in Derry. The victims were all unarmed and running away from the soldiers when they were shot. Many more were injured by shrapnel, rubber bullets or batons. The soldiers who killed them were members of the 1st Battalion Parachute Regiment, which had committed the Ballymurphy Massacre several months prior. Two days after Bloody Sunday, Paul McCartney recorded, “Give Ireland Back to the Irish.” It was one of the only songs banned by the BBC. John Lennon later recorded “Sunday Bloody Sunday.” And, of course, there is the 1983 U2 song, “Sunday Bloody Sunday.” youtube.com/watch?v=0izN111lXU

“We’re the world’s biggest pinchers. But when you look at people like Handel and see what he pinched, there’s nothing wrong with that. We’ve got a sort of running game with the Stones to spot where we’ve pinched things from. One day, we wrote that Welsh song, There’s a Welcome in the Hillsides, actually wrote it! So we had to scrap that.” - Paul McCartney, November 1965.

A little bit of holiday magic happened last night in London when Sir Paul McCartney closed his tour with a very special guest: One Ringo Starr. Here's @CNN's writeup with a brief video of the Beatles together; the second link shows some crowd footage of the pair performing "Sgt. Pepper" and "Helter Skelter."
