European Union citizens should stockpile enough food and other essential supplies to sustain them for at least 72 hours in the event of a crisis, the EU Commission has said.

In new guidance released Wednesday, the commission stressed the need for Europe to shift its mindset, to foster a culture of “preparedness” and “resilience.”

A friend was remarking on her adventures donating blood today. It’d been a while since I’d read the latest discriminatory whitewashing from the FDA.

My favorite now is that to donate you must be off oral #PrEP for months and stop injected form for 2 years. So be #celibate and don’t protect yourselves. Sorry, this #faggot enjoys sex too much. Haters can screw off.

It’s World AIDS day.

PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) has transformed the world. You can take a pill to prevent you from contracting HIV. It’s a total no-brainer: if you’re having sex outside of a monogamous relationship, you should take it if you can. (But bear in mind PrEP doesn’t protect you from other STIs so condoms are still a good idea.)

We could eradicate HIV transmission entirely if everyone who can protect themselves did so. In Ireland and the UK you can get it for free from the GUM clinic, there’s really no excuse not to!

Also, U=U, get tested, know your status and don’t be a dick. ✌🏻☺️

So, I had my second PrEP appointment this morning at my county's health department.

I'm still HIV negative, by the way. Yes, they tested me again. It is no joke, if you are HIV positive you **shouldn't** be on PrEP as it makes the treatment of HIV more difficult.

My visits to the health department cost me nothing. However, CVS just told me that my monthly supply of Descovy would cost over $600. (That's US dollars.) That's with insurance. Up to now, I thought it would be free.

I don't have that type of money to throw around. I've contacted the health department to report this. We'll see what they say.

In the meantime, I'm very 😩 of the stupid healthcare system in the US.
