Note that with all of this in place, camera support on a lot of other devices is in close reach. For example the #OnePlus6 and #SHIFT6mq should only need kernel patches enabling the camera sensors. The softwareISP should then - at least in theory - "just work". Well, fingers crossed :)
P.S.: the one device where this already worked is the #PinePhonePro - but until recently it broke audio. That was also fixed in the process.

Please be aware that the devices in experimental support likely only have "demonstration" support, and is not suitable for daily driving. Without further community development, these devices will not move into "daily driving status".
I recently got my Shift6mq from @shiftphones back from repairs, and the power issues I was experimenting before seem to be gone. What is remarkable, however, is that I had unlocked the bootloader, installed postmarketOS on it, and opened it for some hacking... But Shift did still consider the phone under warranty and repaired it for free 
️ They certainly stated when contacted that installing postmarketOS does **NOT** void the warranty. This is just absolutely incredible, and trully worth the extra money (when one has it...) that is required to support a small company like Shift.

In addition, dealing with the support was an extremely professional experience. Clear instructions, good communication, well-set expectation from the beginning (like estimate on repair time), and met deadlines. Certainly much better than I've experienced with other small HW companies...

We just released #postmarketOS v22.06 with the release name "The One Where We Started Using Release Titles"!
This release is the first one where we support between release upgrading, so no need to reinstall anymore with every new release. This is also the first release with support for the #SHIFT6mq and the Samsung Galaxy S3!
