You might also look at Loner from Zotiquest (Robero Bisceglie). I only play solo and it is a core resource for me. #YMMV #SoloRPG

That's my reasoning: it *has* to be good, since so many people put in the effort to make the rules work for them! So I will be going back to it at some point!

(Both highly recommended!)
Currently, I am reading the rules to "Ironsworn".

I am so glad it is not just me! 
I recently got interested in solo rpgs and read a few rule books, among them "Four Against Darkness". And at least for the moment, I completely bounced off of it, due to the "structure" (lack thereof) and contradictions in the rules.
But I am still interested in it, and will try it out at least once at some point!

@duke_of_germany Hey, thanks for reporting back! Yes, she is so inspiring for #solorpg playing. I looked again at Mythic, and 2e was a bit too pricey for me at this time. Even the pdf. But there are other resources.

Quite proud of myself today. I finally overcame a hurdle and started a solo journaling RPG.
To be honest, it's the "journaling" part that really had me stuck, and created a mental block that kept me from ever going past the set up stage. But I found a good video that gave alternatives to writing out journal entries as you go along, and getting "permission" to do so really changed things for me.
