EDIT - The answer is that it is Falcon 9. And the spiral is excess fuel released from the rocket.
#astro #question This object was just passing over Brno (21:00-21:03 CET) from NWW to SEE. It started as a small butterfly from light - I thought about some kind of halo around a bright star. But it was moving in satellite speed, and the halo was rotating and growing. Photos are bad because it is from phone.

The star’s winds blow gas at over 6.4 million km/h, creating this cosmic shape. The nebula's bright colors are from oxygen, hydrogen, and nitrogen gases. Discovered in 1787, it's one of the most fascinating objects in space.

I had to go back to Sarah Ann Rocks in north west Tasmania, the coastline is stunning and perfectly aligned for a shot of the Milky Way in October. The third image in this set was captured on the first visit in 2022. TIL: on the a5100, Sony disabled the option to turn off LENR (Long Exposure Noise Reduction), so every 30 sec image took me 62.
That's not only sad, but reduces the quality of the stacked image.
