Greenstone projectile point identified from the Overseer's House site.
A small number of #ProjectilePoints have been recovered this season, (including those crafted of quartz, flint, and greenstone) revealing how much of Montpelier's #landscape was integral to life in the #Manahoac and #Monacan nations before #colonization.

Hi! I'm Stephen. I have a large number of interests, including collecting #stationery (particularly #fountainpen), riding my #bicycle (aka #cycling), reading (particularly #scifi, #cyberpunk), listening to #music (#postpunk and #postbop primarily), and wearing clothes. Professionally, I'm an #archaeologist working in the Cultural Resource Management (#crmarch) industry. I've recently transitioned from a field-heavy position to one that is primarily office based. As of spring 2022, my position is that of archaeological technologist (aka technomancer). I'm basically a data-wrangler who shepherds archaeological data from the early planning, desktop, phase, through fieldwork, labwork, analysis, and finally to curation. This involves a variety of technological interests including #GIS, #rstats, #database (#filemaker, mostly), #photogrammetry, #desktoppublishing, &c.
On the birb platform, my personal and professional interests were split into two accounts, but I'm attempting to merge the streams here.
