BBC Radio 4 Today has just had an article about the "hacking" of pay-per-ride electric Lime #bikes. The Mayor of Brent said there were TikTok guides so, of course, as a keen #cyclist and former #ITSecurity person, I had to have a look.
This link explains that the "hack" is brute force. Physical brute force!
The hackers, mainly kids, force the rear wheel lock - then pedal a heavy #ebike without any electric assist but with constant clicking.
