@Taweret Here’s the #DDD for the Winning Movie. There isn’t anything listed, but at least here it is. https://www.doesthedogdie.com/media/194617
Sharing this from my job (not on Mastodon). If you're into #eventdriven systems, #eventsourcing, #ddd, or anything like that, you should come hang out. It's pretty cool.
AxonIQ Conference 2025 is open for real-world talks — the messy, hard-won lessons from scaling with Axon, Event Sourcing, CQRS, and building systems that actually move business forward.
You survived. You leveled up.

@Taweret Looks like it’s gonna be Yeti from 1977. That’s going to be marvelous. Here’s the #DDD for this gem of a movie… https://www.doesthedogdie.com/media/267313

I will be hosting Sonya Natanzon & Vlad Khononov for Complexity & Modularity: the Yin and Yang of Socio-Technical Design.
Join us online at 6pm UTC+0 on Tue 25th Feb.
Had an interesting insight from reviewing about 50 ADRs of a large project:
• Specific, technical decisions from early on mostly didn't hold up. Deciding on a tracing framework when you don't even have a working piece of software seems to be a waste of time.
• Most strategic decisions from early on are still valid. I.e.: The decision to use #DDD. The resulting context map from early workshops is still one of the main artifacts to work with.

Do you know any Danish companies serious about #SoftwareArchitecture?
My company has decided to outsource all its IT development, operations and everything around it to Netcompany - probably the most notorious IT services vendor in Denmark.
Besides being an incredibly risky bet for the company, it means my job has been utterly destroyed. Reduced to keeping the lights on while we face redundancy.
So... I'm not in a rush, but I am looking. Somewhere that treats architecture as a serious disciplin. Where #DDD, #TeamTopologies and #SystemsThinking are part of the conversation about #SociotechnicalSystems.

There's quite a few DDD people on Bluesky so I created a list: https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:rckvbasit6ovva2bg7dvafdp/lists/3l7y76qe5vz2u
If you know anyone who should be on the list, let me know.
In Poland, we’re seeing a trend of hiring engineers with strong technical skills like #DDD and equally strong soft skills. Engineers are increasingly expected to run #EventStorming workshops to gather business insights. As a result, the traditional #BusinessAnalyst role is becoming less common, particularly in the private sector, where these functions are now often handled by developers. This shift leaves BAs primarily in public sector roles. How do you see this trend playing out in your region?
