I not affiliated with the #Radboud #University in the sense that I am not an employee, nor a student.

I do however have e-mail conversations with people at the University and I would like to 'hear' from them once in a while.

It would be nice if our e-mail conversations where private and if the University would use (preferably their own server) Mastodon for example to spread their news.

ENCAMPMENT AT RADBOUD UNIVERSITY

We, students and staff at radboud university are reclaiming our campus to demand an end to our university’s complicity in the ongoing Israeli occupation and genocide of the Palestinians in Gaza.

We, the students, are drawing the red line no one is daring to draw. STOP THE GENOCIDE.

We invite all students, staff, humans to join us in our liberated zone to demand Radboud and all Dutch academic institutions to end their complicity in genocide.

Tell your friends, and bring all the resources you can get and join us at the lawn outside of the Maria Montessori’s building (next to the bike garage). Everyone is welcome.

Just used duckdb where I would have used sed before. Nice one.

(#Radboud uni buys expensive *new* software for digital tests that does not even integrate with their expensive software for grade admin. ICT in large organizations. It's hopeless. The only progress is that I do not need a regex to transform studentnumbers any more.)

Usually I'm happy to work at Radboud, but... I'm getting QUITE annoyed with #radboud central IT services refusing to forward my email (a forward from one ru.nl address to another one, **within the organization**), contrary to prior agreement after having been pointed out this problem, and failing to fix this for already more than 48 hours.

It's bad enough they run a M$oft shop here on campus, let alone that they misrun it...

"In 2021 werd #DuckDB een bedrijf. (..) 'Mijn tweede kind kwam eraan en de kinderopvang was gewoon niet meer te betalen.' (..) Al op dag drie na de geboorte van DuckLabs kwam de eerste mail van een investeerder binnen. Al snel volgden er meer.

Tijdens die gesprekken met investeerders bekroop Mühleisen een ongemakkelijk gevoel. (..) 'De technologie wordt ondergeschikt aan de verkoop. Dat wilden wij niet.'
