Mon premier crochet et peut-être le dernier ? 🤣
.

Been curious how a nalbound bag would go, and a few weeks ago I was gifted the perfect yarn to play with. Turned out great, I think! The shoulder strap and white stripes are… appliqué? Made post-facto but attached as they were made.
Don’t know all the vocab- Finnish 2+2. Most connections were F1. Connection loops for the stripes/strap were picked up after the +2 of the stitch but before the stitch was finished. #HandMade #FiberArts #StringCraft #Nalbinding #Wool #Mastoart

I guess I'm done #HandSpinning #yarn for fun (except for a 3-ply, haven't done that yet). Instead, I probably need to pick a pattern and then spin yarn for the pattern.

I've been wanting to #crochet a kitty couch for a long time. The pattern calls for 364 yards of one color and 236 yards of another.

The average length of my #HandSpun yarns is 75 yards. 🥴😳

Whatever color I make the couch out of, I'm going to need to spin MANY bobbins worth... #wool #FiberArts #CatCouch #CatsOfMastodon

Years ago I bought some multicoloured Lana Grossa “Bingo Print” yarn that makes a weird, cool mottled pattern when you knit with it. I just got around to using it and I really like the effect… looked to buy more and it has been discontinued. I can’t find any DK/Aran/Worsted alternatives made of actual wool that give the same effect… does anyone on here know of any? Is there a name for the style?

Picture below shows what I’m talking about. Boosts for reach appreciated!

Dear knitters of Mastodon,

Many years ago, I started this top-down circular yoke stranded colourwork jumper, hoping to knit my own ugly Christmas jumper, using a pattern by Drops (ravelry.com/patterns/library/1), using DK-weight Drops Karisma yarn (ravelry.com/yarns/library/garn), knitting on 4mm needles.

I stopped knitting because I made a mistake and couldn't face the frogging.

Now I want to frog the whole thing and start over, in part because I feel like my stranded colourwork skills are much better now.

I am wondering if I should find a different pattern? Maybe I don't want the jumper to be "ugly" anymore, so it would be a bit more wearable? Don't know if ugliness vibes are completely avoidable, given the colourways that I have.

QUESTION: do you have any suggestions for your favourite circular yoke stranded colourwork jumper patterns that might suit the yarn that I have (MC: 500 grams / 1000 m; CC: 100 grams / 200 m)?

I never actually completed a circular yoke, or a stranded colourwork jumper, so maybe something that has some good alternation between the colours would be best, just in case I don't manage a good tension on longer floats.
