This Monday's model of the week is a badger ranger. Useful for ranged combat, but not too shabby close-up either.

We have a 28mm model of an anthropomorphic badger. He's standing upright and leaning on a long bow. His garb is in brown and green forest colours and he has a brown hood over his head.

We have a 28mm model of an anthropomorphic rat wearing a green dress with red frills. She's angrily facing right with a machete wielded above her head.

A new Royalist Hound knight, sculpted and painted by its creator, Michael Lovejoy.

I mean, that shield brush work. Kiss a chef.

We have an upright anthropomorphic terrier dog 32mm miniature, with brown fur plus a black nose and ears. He's standing upright wearing coloured leather armour and holding a mace with its right paw. In its left paw is a shield painted delicately in quarters: top left a golden chalice on a red background; top right: a blue fleur-de-lys on a white background; bottom right: a gold crown on a red background; and bottom left: a blue and white checkerboard.

Three more new objective markers for Burrows & Badgers including a banner, the grave of an unknown warrior and - quite possibly - the Holy Grail (white rabbits are indeed very dangerous in this game).

We have three flat objective markers on 32mm bases. In the top left is part of a medieval banner, in the top right is the skeleton of a rodent warrior with armour and sword and at the bottom is a golden chalice surrounded by green vines.

Here are the two new starter warbands released by Oathsworn Miniatures next month, to coincide with the second edition rulebook.

We have two pictures containing five 28mm miniatures each. The top one is a royalist band containing, from left to right, an archer rabbit, an otter knight, a Yorkshire Terrier knight, a hedgehog magic user and a mouse archer. The bottom one is a rogue band containing, from left to right a squirrel magic user, a fox hunter,
a cat hunter, a little owl rogue and a weasel warrioress.

When the furry animals of Northymbra are not trying to fight each other, they can sometimes play another 'BB' game: namely Blood Bowl.

Here's the author's Skaven team for a second season at Dice in Portsmouth, based on the beautiful Burrows & Badgers models.

We have 11 models on a slate grey Blood Bowl pitch arranged in a diamond pattern. The models have a team colour scheme of light blue and green. There are four linewomen with black bases, being Edwardian shrew matrons brandishing umbrellas and handbags, one thrower with a white base being a mouse monk praying to the heavens on his knees, two blitzers with red bases being angry shrew cooks with frying pans and rolling pins, three gutter runners with yellow bases being cute mice maidens with baskets a la Red Riding Hood and, finally, on a green base is my rat ogre who is a dapper Edwardian fox with top hat and cane.

Here's one of the first 'Burrows and Badgers' miniatures I painted.

Her name is Blaedswith Brewster and she's the head of the Allied Alewives. They're a union of brewing geniuses who are fighting back against Prince Reinert and his new taxes on beer in the Kingdom of Northymbra.

To say she and her band of sisters are a bit miffed is putting it mildly.

A great sculpt from Michael Lovejoy at Oathsworn Miniatures.

We have a 28mm metal miniature on a grass covered base with a brown rim. The figure is an anthropomorphic fox holding a bow and loosing an arrow. She has a grey hood, a red bodice and a green cape and skirt. Her orange and white face shows a steely determination.
