Whether anyone ever sees that report will likely come down to FOIA litigation.

In a new filing, DOJ says it delivered a copy of the special counsel’s report on the classified documents case to Judge #Cannon, as directed.
The filing pointedly tells Cannon that her review of the report is “not necessary” to determine whether it should be made available to members of Congress.

DOJ has now complied w/ #Cannon’s order to file a notice that nothing in Vol 1 of the Final Report “directly or indirectly refers, relies, or bears in any respect upon any evidence or argument relevant” to Nauta & De Oliveira’s charges.
The DOJ does state that there are two references to “the Classified Documents” case in Vol. 1, but they don’t refer to or deal with Nauta and De Oliveira.
