"Prominent" flat earthers were invited down to #Antarctica to let them see the sun staying up for 24 hours straight, thus proving their flat earth "theory" wrong!
See grown men questioning their own perception of reality, while ACTUAL reality unfolds in front of their own eyes!
The analysis came from a Long Island math enthusiast named #EdwardSolomon, who made a similar — & widely #debunked — argument in 2020 to support claims that Biden stole the race. But to #RobertBeadles it merited careful consideration. “I’ve given you guys enough evidence right there that you guys should hit pause,” Beadles said. “Do your duty.”
Republicans have unleashed a flurry of lawsuits challenging voting rules and practices ahead of the November elections, setting the stage for what could be a far larger and more contentious legal battle over the White House after Election Day.
The onslaught of litigation, much of it landing in recent weeks, includes nearly 90 lawsuits filed across the country by Republican groups this year.
The legal push is ️already more than three times the number of lawsuits filed before Election Day in 2020, according to Democracy Docket, a Democratically aligned group that tracks election cases.
Voting rights experts say the legal campaign appears to be an effort to prepare to #contest#the#results of the presidential election after Election Day should Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, lose and refuse to accept his defeat as he did four years ago.
The lawsuits are concentrated in swing states — and key counties — likely to determine the race.
Several embrace #debunked#theories about voter fraud and so-called stolen elections that Mr. Trump has promoted since 2020.
In Montgomery County, Pa., the state’s third-largest county, the party is seeking to force local officials to count ballots by hand, evoking debunked conspiracy theories about corrupted voting machines.
A case filed by the Republican National Committee in Nevada this month #falsely asserts that nearly 4,000 noncitizens voted in the state in 2020, a claim that was rejected at the time by the state’s top election official, a Republican.
"We highlight that our results (and the genomic data they are based on) shed light on the Rapanui demographic history exclusively. Thus, they cannot be used to directly evaluate the ecological impact of human activity on the island. Whereas anthropogenic impact is widespread in Polynesia, we specifically reject the hypothesis that such changes in Rapa Nui resulted in population collapse in the 1600s, before European contact. Instead, our results support that the Rapanui population was resilient despite a changing environment."
"'In just a few centuries, the people of Easter Island wiped out their forest, drove their plants and animals to extinction, and saw their complex society spiral into chaos and cannibalism.'
So writes Jared Diamond in his best-selling book Collapse, which was published in 2005.
Nearly two decades later, an international team of geneticists has found evidence that this famous cautionary tale never actually happened.
The true story of Rapa Nui (named Easter Island by colonial Europeans) is not one of self-inflicted population collapse, the new findings suggest, but of cultural resilience.
In the 1600s, it seems that the ancient people of Rapa Nui were not utterly isolated on their island, and it is clear that they did not overexploit their resources to the point of 'ecocide'.
#RFKJr’s crackpot ideas go well beyond #covid to the #DEBUNKED claim that childhood #vaccines cause autism, that #WiFi causes “#LeakyBrain,” that #chemicals in the water supply might turn children #transgender, that #AIDS might not be caused by #HIV, that #Republicans stole the 2004 election &that #5G networks are used for mass surveillance. And that was BEFORE we learned about his #BrainWorm & the #BearCub. #Trump this wk said #RFKJr has “got some very good ideas” that “turned out to be right.”
“#Chemtrails” are an old-school #ConspiracyTheory, growing up in the same neighborhood as tinfoil hats & Bigfoot. It’s something that’s been #debunked countless times. And here is the newest member of Team #Trump assuring an anonymous social media poster that “we” — presumably meaning him & Trump or him & the Trump admin — will prevent this thing that isn’t happening from happening.
Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo has repeatedly been saying this week that Democrats have been pushing to register “massive lines of illegals” to vote in Texas. As it turns out, she never did any actual reporting on the topic. The Texas Department of Public Safety #debunked Bartiromo’s claims, with Sergeant William Lockridge, a spokesperson for the department, calling the claims “simply false” and “kind of racist” in a statement Tuesday to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Brady Gray, the chairman of the Parker County GOP, also said such reports were “erroneous” after investigating Bartiromo’s claims
Okay now #Trump is repeating the TOTALLY FALSE #lie that Democrats want #abortion right up until birth & “even after” — that is full on #disinformation. He is a #liar. This has been #debunked over & over. Ridiculous to allow this to be aired.
"Yvette Running Horse Collin’s recent dissertation may have rewritten every natural history book on the shelf. A Lakota/Nakota/Cheyenne scholar, Collin worked within the University of Alaska Fairbanks’ Indigenous Studies program to synthesize fossil evidence, historical documents and oral history to present a compelling new story of the horse in the Americas.
