iPhone Tip. Leaving or muting group chats.
Have you ever been in a group message, and after some time just wanted to leave the group?

Now there needs to be at least 3 other people (at least 4 total including yourself) in order to leave a group message.

If there are less than 4 total people in the group, then the only thing you can do is mute the chat. Instructions on how to do this is at the end.

To Leave a group chat of 4 or more total people

1. Double tap on the group in your list of conversations.
2. Swipe a couple of times, it should say the name of the group or how many people are in the conversation, this will depend on whether or not you have named the group. Double tap on that.
3. Now go all the way down to the bottom of the screen (4 finger single tap near bottom of screen).
4. Swipe back up the screen and choose leave group.
5. A pop up will appear confirming are you sure, just choose Leave group.
6. That is it, you ar no longer part of that group chat.

Muting a single or group chat

1. Swipe to the chat or group chat you want to mute in your list of conversations.
2. Flick up with 1 finger and choose Hide Alerts.
3. Now this conversation has been muted and you will not receive any further notifications from this conversation. And if you swipe to the conversation in your list, voiceover will tell you that it has been muted.
4. Now to reverse this and unmute a chat or group chat, flick up with 1 finger and choose show alerts.
