I have an extremely old memory. To be fair, I'm not entirely sure it's a real memory or something I dreamed as a kid.

It's about a ride in Disney World.

It looked like a vintage car (40's or 50's), and you got a wheel (useless) to pretend you drive it.

The ride begins by "driving" the car, it initially looks like you're going to hit a wall, but then it opens and you go through some sort of dark tunnel.

I remember being scared by noises, what sounded like laughter (could have been from other riders ahead).

This would have been some time between '87 and '92.

I never really bothered to look up the ride. And in subsequent visits to the parks, I never found it. But I'm aware they sometimes retire rides, so it could have been easily an old ride by then.

Does this sound like a ride that existed?

(Actually solved this before posting, and will post the follow-up in a reply.)

I visited Disney World this week and rode the Tron Light Cycle roller coaster. I was surprised to see that the cover on my storage compartment had been 3D Printed from a flexible filament. It felt like a medium-hard TPU.

Every other container on the car had the original rubber lid and other cars I rode on did as well.

It’s cool to see 3D Printing solving problems in the wild.
